Sadie Amara Calvano has become well-known for her character Violet Plunkett that she played in CBS show Mom. Calvano born in California had a first interest in gymnastics competitions. But she decided later to pursue a acting career. Her first appearance on screen was in 2010, in the CBS show 'NCIS. The biographical crime film J Edgar was her big screen debut just a year later. She is one of today's most promising actresses over the last few years. In 2011, she was nominated for an Young Artist Award in the category of Outstanding Performance for Young Actresses between 11 and 15 because of her performance in NCIS. In 2013, for a guest role in Disney XD's 'Kickin' It' comedy series and received a second nomination for a Young Artist Award. Calvano was an integral part of the cast of 'Mom' in its first three seasons and appeared in several episodes of the fourth season. In 2015, she received the Gracie Allen Award of Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star for her appearance in Mom.
